Ybarra on Fire: 5-for-6 for Baltimore
Tuesday, August 29th , 2051
It was a sensational day at the plate for Danny Ybarra as he led the charge to a nifty 9-8 win over the Paczkis. The Baltimore right fielder was pure misery for the Hamtramck pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 6 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting.
"Ybarra put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Andy Russell, manager for the Paczkis, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."
Danny Ybarra singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th, hit an RBI double in the 9th and singled in the 11th.
For the year, Ybarra is batting .352 with 4 home runs, 19 RBIs and 16 runs scored.
