Playoffs? No Chance for Grand Rapids Thursday, August 19th , 2049 Only the most die-hard fans thought the Grand Rapids Whitecaps still had any chance at making the playoffs this season, but now even those hopes are dashed. The team was officially eliminated from postseason contention today. Grand Rapids last appeared in the postseason in 2047. This is their 2nd consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 18 times in their 32-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Whitecaps have made the playoffs 4 times. |
