3-HR Day for Gingerich Wednesday, August 18th , 2049 Bobby Gingerich was sending souvenirs to the sun gods all game long in the 9-1 Hillsboro Hops triumph at Ballpark of Baltimore. The 26-year-old put on a show for fans, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands and powering the Hops past the Baltimore Jaspers. "One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight," Gingerich told BNN reporters after the game. "I can't wait until next game. I really feel good at the plate." The shortstop went 4-for-5, rung up 3 RBIs and scored 3 runs on his record-setting day. Bobby Gingerich hit a solo-shot off Miguel Mayen in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Greg Sweigart in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Joe Keator in the 9th. So far this year, Gingerich has hit .373 with 6 home runs, 14 RBIs and 10 runs scored. |
