Season-Ending Injury for Nick Taylor Wednesday, June 26th , 2052 The doctors have spoken and Nick Taylor of the Vung Tau Vipers didn't like what he heard. The 23-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Taylor sustained his season-ending injury during the Fresno Orange Sox game yesterday at Orange Sox Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Vung Tau medical staff reported Taylor had a torn back muscle and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4-5 months. Taylor has made 13 starts this season, posting 3 wins and 5 losses. Opposing clubs are batting .284 against him and he has 46 strikeouts in 72 innings with a 3.50 ERA. |
