Churrasco Win Round 1 Sunday, September 18th , 2050 The Round 1 may not have lived up to the expectation that it would be a dogfight that would go the distance. The Sao Paolo Churrasco, however, are not complaining. The Churrasco were plenty happy to have wrapped up the series early and to have knocked out the Baltimore Jaspers to advance to the Round 2. Sao Paolo won the final game by a 5-3 count at Ballpark of Baltimore and the series 4-2. Churrasco first baseman Willie Mendoza was named series MVP, as he hit .478 with a .586 on-base percentage. He added 0 home runs, drove in 1 RBI and scored 6 runs. "It's not going to be the last time Baltimore makes it to the playoffs, so it's sure a nice feeling to put them out this year," Mendoza said. "We just need to keep this going and take it day by day." The Sao Paolo Churrasco will play against the Galway Gales in the next round.
