Ybarra Slams 5 Hits for Glendale Saturday, August 20th , 2050 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. Danny Ybarra is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-6 against the Sao Paolo Churrasco at Churrasco Grounds. The monster effort from the 25-year-old first baseman helped the Glendale Skeeters get the win, 18-4. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Churrasco manager Justin McCollum. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." Danny Ybarra singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, struck out in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Oscar Cruz in the 8th. For the year, Ybarra has hit .293 with 27 home runs, 82 RBIs and scored 78 runs. View Boxscore |
