Farrell 5-for-5 for Hillsboro
Monday, August 8th , 2050
Brandon Farrell was smoking all game at the plate, but couldn't finish his day with a victory cigar.
After the 22-year-old Hillsboro Hops center fielder tallied 5 hits in 5 at-bats, he was forced to watch as his club dropped the 8-3 decision to the Hamtramck Paczkis.
"That was no fun," Farrell said to reporters after the game. "You hate to lose any game but it's even worse somehow to feel like you did enough to win."
Brandon Farrell singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
So far this season, Farrell has 5 home runs and a .343 batting average.
