Smith 5-for-5 for Sao Paolo Saturday, May 18th , 2052 The Sao Paolo Churrasco stopped the Key West Lime Pies by a score of 10-8 at Churrasco Grounds, with the lion's share of the credit going to third baseman Michael Smith. The 25-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits. "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Smith said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard." Smith did just that in his 5 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Lime Pies. "Not much that I can say," offered Key West manager Paul Stevens. "He just hammered the heck out of us." Michael Smith singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, walked in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Keith Helderman in the 9th.
