Sancho and Chambers Fight, Get Suspended Wednesday, August 2nd , 2051 Nelson Sancho of the San Jose Sabercats and Joel Chambers of the Key West Lime Pies will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended for 6 and 4 games respectively by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Sabercats-Lime Pies game at Lime Pies Ballpark. Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN Sancho and Chambers will begin serving them soon. In 82 games Sancho is hitting .261 this season with 76 hits, 10 home runs, 33 RBIs, 21 walks, .319 OBP and has scored 48 runs. So far this year, Chambers has nailed down 2 saves. His won-lost record is 5-4 with a 2.79 ERA. |
