West Shuts Out Glendale
Sunday, August 1st , 2049
Reginald West was dynamite at Skeeters Ballpark, blowing away the Glendale Skeeters in a shutout victory. The Hartford Defenders starter had everything working as he held the Skeeters to 5 hits in the 9-0 win.
"He was pure nasty out there today," said Glendale skipper Joe Mulholland. "I don't think any team in the league would've had a chance against what he was bringing."
West finished the game with 10 strikeouts and no walks.
West has made 12 starts so far this year and put up a 8-6 won-lost record with a 2.74 ERA. In 108.1 innings he has allowed 98 hits, walked 24 and struck out 61.
