Chavez Holds Kingston Scoreless Tuesday, July 4th , 2051 Goose eggs were the order of the day for the Kingston Mounties as starter Brian Chavez shut them out, 10-0, at Walkerton Grounds. The Omaha pitcher struck out 6 and walked 0 while allowing 7 hits. "Chavez was good but he wasn't flawless," Kingston manager Nick Conley said. "We had a few opportunities to make something happen and we didn't do it. Not to take anything away from Omaha, but this is on us."
