Giordani on the Attack, Player of the Week Monday, May 13th , 2052 Hartford fans have something to crow about today as Hartford third baseman Ryan Giordani nabbed the CBD Double A Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Giordani. He posted a .517 average (15-for-29) this past week with 5 home runs, 11 RBIs, and 11 runs scored. Thus far this year, Giordani has hit .313 with 9 home runs and 27 RBIs. |
