Nunez Records 3-0 Shutout Against Grand Rapids Friday, August 14th , 2048 Fidel Nunez came out firing strikes and, when the game ended, the Key West Lime Pies hurler had struck out 8, leading Key West past the Grand Rapids Whitecaps, 3-0. Nunez allowed just 3 hits in the ballgame. "I'm glad that one is in the rearview mirror," said Grand Rapids manager Bobby Espinosa. Up to now Nunez has recorded a record of 9-2.
