Thomas Suspended by League Thursday, July 30th , 2048 A 4-game suspension has been handed out by the league office to Matt Thomas of the Fresno Orange Sox. Thomas was suspended for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct" during a confrontation with the plate umpire during a recent game at Orange Sox Ballpark against the Airhogs. He was ejected after arguing a called third strike and had to be restrained by his bench coach. This season, Thomas is swinging the bat at a .263 pace. He has hit 1 home run and scored 22 times, while driving in 14. His on-base percentage is .341 and he has played in 52 games. |
