Gales Burkart Chosen August's Best in CAA Sunday, September 1st , 2047 When the Gales skipper wrote Burkart on the lineup card, it was a bad omen for the opposition. Outing after outing in August he took command and usually got the win. He dominated with a 4-0 mark and 1.43 ERA in 6 starts. The gifted Gales star pitched 44 innings, fanned 32 and held opposing teams to a .177 average. For his excellent mound work Burkart was named the CAA Pitcher of the Month by the baseball writers.
