Mendez Awarded August's CAA Top Bat Prize Sunday, September 1st , 2047 Enrique Mendez is not used to being associated with Batter of the Month-caliber players, but today the Santa Clara center fielder joined that select company when the CBD Double A announced the results of August's voting. Mendez totaled 41 hits, 6 walks, 6 home runs, 23 RBIs and 20 runs scored last month to put together a .383 batting average and .431 on-base percentage. This year, Mendez has socked 164 hits in 492 at-bats for a .333 average with 23 home runs. He is getting on base at a .375 pace and his totals also include 84 RBIs and 78 runs scored. |
