Defenders Come up Short of Playoffs Thursday, August 29th , 2047 The playoff hopes of the Hartford Defenders have been extinguished for the year. Today, the team was mathematically eliminated from qualifying for the 2047 postseason. "It's weird, yesterday we were all talking about what we needed to do to make it to the Round 3 and now we're just counting down the days until the offseason, said Defenders starting pitcher Ray Totino. Before this season, the Defenders last missed the playoffs in 2044. In the 30 years they have been a CBD Double A franchise, they have missed the playoffs 5 times. In the last 10 seasons, the Defenders have made the playoffs 10 times. Hartford last won the Round 3 in 2045. |
