Mendez Bangs Out 5 Base Hits Wednesday, May 24th , 2051 It was a parade of hits for Alex Mendez of the Fresno Orange Sox at Orange Sox Ballpark. Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Mendez finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 6 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Orange Sox to a win, 10-2. "Mendez was really good and we were really bad," groaned Churrasco manager Justin McCollum. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him." Alex Mendez singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
