3-HR Binge for Leroy Against Glendale Saturday, May 22nd , 2049 The old superstition that "bad news comes in threes" certainly came true for the Glendale Skeeters. Hamtramck third baseman Arnaud Leroy tripled up on the home runs to propel the Paczkis to a win, 6-2, at Skeeters Ballpark. "We had our chances to win the game, but we just didn't come through," Glendale manager Joe Mulholland said. "Leroy hit the heck out of the ball." In addition to the homers, Leroy collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 3 RBIs and scored 3 runs. "Easy swings get you home runs," he said after the game. "I kept telling myself not to press. They have to be nice and easy swings." Arnaud Leroy hit a solo-shot off Han-seung Bang in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Han-seung Bang in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Manny Colmenares in the 9th. In his 2049 season totals, Leroy has 3 home runs, .333 BA, .397 OBP, 5 RBIs and 9 runs scored. |
