Toribio Belts Bunch of Base Hits Thursday, May 15th , 2053 Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Glendale's 13-6 win over Kingston, first baseman Bobby Toribio was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Walkerton Grounds. "To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Toribio said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close." Bobby Toribio singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and walked in the 9th. This year, Toribio is hitting at a .317 pace with 2 home runs and 11 RBIs. He has played in 30 games and scored 14 times. View Boxscore |
