Williams Socks It to Skeeters, Cracks 5 Hits Thursday, May 6th , 2049 It was a sensational day at the plate for Paul Williams as he led the charge to a nifty 11-8 win over the Skeeters. The Omaha center fielder was pure misery for the Glendale pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. "Williams put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Joe Mulholland, manager for the Skeeters, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Paul Williams tripled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Cory Eckenroth in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.
