Players Suspended in Defenders-Vanguard Donnybrook Thursday, May 6th , 2049 If there wasn't a history between Jesus Gonzalez of Hartford and Marco Asseiceira of Santa Clara, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 4 and 8 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Gonzalez said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." This year, Gonzalez is hitting .291 with 1 home run and 5 RBIs in 24 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .413 with 15 walks and 16 runs scored.
