Division 1 Title Goes to Defenders Friday, September 6th , 2041 The Hartford Defenders may have had some self-doubt, but in the end they have prevailed as Division 1 champions. "When the standings are as close as they have been in the final days of the season, you start to wonder - can we really do this?" said right fielder Corey Buntin. "Thankfully I think everyone still believed and we got it done." It's now off to the postseason, where the team will be trying to win the Round 3 for the 6th time. The division title was the 13th for the Defenders. |
