San Jose Loses Antonio Reyes Sunday, April 30th , 2051 Dealing with injuries is part of the game, and now Antonio Reyes of the Sabercats knows this firsthand. He was injured against the Baltimore Jaspers while throwing a pitch. Because of a torn labrum, the San Jose starting pitcher is expected to miss 4 months. Reyes was a little upset, but understands it comes with the territory. "Baseball can be a contact sport. You try to be careful, but no matter how careful you are, injuries happen." On his stats sheet this season, Reyes shows a 1-3 record, 5 starts, 30 innings, 16 strikeouts and a 3.90 ERA. |
