Rendahl Hits in 20 Consecutive Games
Wednesday, June 26th , 2047
The streak is alive and well -- at least for today.
Bob Rendahl did it again, bashing 2 hits in the contest at Gales Ballpark. For the last 20 games in a row, the 22-year-old second baseman has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the Galway Gales beat the Baltimore Jaspers, 5-4.
"I'm happy I kept the streak going," Rendahl told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the Galway clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day." Bob Rendahl grounded out in the 1st, struck out in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th, singled in the 8th, grounded out in the 9th and hit an RBI double in the 11th.
At present, Rendahl is batting .319 and has collected 9 home runs, 36 RBIs, .366 OBP and scored 31 runs.
