Omaha-Fresno Brawl, Hickson and Rezzori Suspended Wednesday, April 16th , 2053 Yesterday at Memorial Stadium Justin Hickson and Mike Rezzori got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Omaha Steaks and Fresno Orange Sox. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified the ballclubs that Hickson will have to sit out 5 while Rezzori would be given a 11-game suspension for their roles in the brawl. Hickson on the season is batting .238 with 2 home runs. His totals include 6 RBIs and 2 runs scored. He has played in 6 games. |
