Armadillos Ladner Fires No-Hitter Sunday, July 21st , 2041 Is it better to be lucky or good? After leading the Amarillo Armadillos to victory, 2-0, and tossing a no-hitter over the Seattle Airhogs, Chris Ladner didn't have the answer. "I don't know," Ladner said. "To do what I did today, I'm pretty sure it takes both." On his big day at Amarillo Grounds, Ladner fanned 11 and had 1 walk. And it seemed that when the Airhogs managed to hit the ball hard, it went right at a defender. "That's how you get a no-hitter," Ladner said with a smile. "A lot of skill mixed with a little luck."
