Hits Galore: Kohlhepp Drills 5 Hits Wednesday, May 29th , 2047 Even as a kid, Matt Kohlhepp said his coaches told him the key to hitting was making contact, and letting everything else flow from there. At Queens Ballpark, Kohlhepp showed how well he learned that lesson. The 21-year-old right fielder had 5 hits in 7 at-bats for the Omaha Steaks, helping his team knock off the Chesterfield Queens by a score of 4-3. "They always said, just keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing, make contact and you never know what will happen," he said. "That's all I did." Matt Kohlhepp singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off Tony Orellana in the 9th, struck out in the 11th and singled in the 14th.
