Perez Slams 3 Homers for Scarlet Knights Tuesday, June 2nd , 2048 It was a special day for Rafael Perez, but less so for the Walkerton Scarlet Knights. Perez slammed three home runs against the Hartford Defenders, but the Defenders outhit him and got the win by a score of 8-7. "Lately, I been uppercutting the ball too much. I would hit it hard, but they just went sky high and stayed in the ballpark," he said to sportswriters after the game. "No big long outs for me in this game -- I leveled out my swing and connected on the sweet spot three times. I knew they were gone the minute I hit 'em." The Walkerton catcher finished the day at Defenders Ballpark with 4 hits in 4 at-bats, 7 runs batted in and 3 runs scored. Rafael Perez hit a solo-shot off Reginald West in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Reginald West in the 6th and hit a three-run home run off Reginald West in the 8th.
