Santa Clara-Amarillo Brawl, Teran and Altamirano Suspended Wednesday, May 20th , 2048 Baseball officials have suspended two players for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct" in yesterday's Santa Clara-Amarillo contest at Amarillo Grounds. The Vanguard Jose Teran and the Armadillos Bill Altamirano will have to sit out 5 and 6 games respectively for their parts in the brawl. This year, Teran is batting .328 with 3 home runs and 19 RBIs. In 31 games he has scored 22 times. Thus far this season, Altamirano has tossed 38.1 innings in 7 starts, fanned 26 batters, walked 12 and put up a 2.58 ERA with 1 win and 2 losses. |
