Galway Wins Round 1 Saturday, September 14th , 2052 In a series that had a little bit of everything, the Galway Gales have edged the Sao Paolo Churrasco. The two rival clubs went the distance in the tightly-contested Round 1, with a 4-1 win in the clincher being the difference for Galway and giving them the ticket to the Round 2 with a 4-3 series triumph. "We never stopped believing in ourselves. When push came to shove we were going to get it done," said Sal Aguilera, who was named series MVP. For the series, Aguilera hit .424 with a .441 on-base percentage. He had 4 home runs, drove in 7 RBI and scored 8 runs. The Galway Gales will play against the Baltimore Jaspers in the next round.
