Giordani Goes 5-for-5 Against Santa Clara Thursday, August 8th , 2052 No matter what the Santa Clara Vanguard threw at him, Ryan Giordani hit it. He easily handled Vanguard pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Defenders triumph, 15-0, at Defenders Ballpark. "The way I was swinging, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Giordani's quip, Vanguard skipper C.J. Benevides said he "would take him up on that next time." Ryan Giordani hit a two-run double in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Kahil Murphy in the 5th, singled in the 7th and doubled in the 8th.
