Elijah Bass Injured, Out for Season Thursday, July 11th , 2052 The doctors have spoken and Elijah Bass of the Thousand Oaks Rabbits didn't like what he heard. The 27-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Bass sustained his season-ending injury during the Eugene Exploding Whales game yesterday at Spencer Grounds. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Thousand Oaks medical staff reported Bass had shoulder inflammation and would be absent from the lineup for at least 6 months. To date this year, Bass has saved 0 games while tossing 49 innings. He has a 5.33 ERA, fanned 37 batters and made 22 relief appearances. |
