Marchetti Raps Eugene for 5 Hits Tuesday, July 9th , 2052 John Marchetti had an answer for everything the Eugene Exploding Whales threw at him at Whales Field. The Rochester left fielder went 5-for-6 in the game to put his name in the record book and give the River Sharks a win, 14-4. Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Marchetti said, "I just see the ball and I hit it." John Marchetti hit a three-run home run off Alexis Urrutia in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Gene Dillard in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
