Big Bat Pays Off, Jones Player of the Week Monday, July 8th , 2052 When it came to hitting the baseball, John Jones was in a class by himself in the CBD Triple A this past week. Nobody did it better. The outstanding second baseman for Estes Park tagged opposing pitchers for a .370 average and was voted the Player of the Week Award. Included in his stats were 10 hits in 27 at-bats, 5 homers, 7 runs scored and 11 RBIs. This year, Jones has socked 85 hits in 305 at-bats for a .279 average with 14 home runs. He is getting on base at a .359 pace and his totals also include 37 RBIs and 48 runs scored. |
