Sweeties Clinch Wild Card Wednesday, September 13th , 2051 It wasn't quick or easy for the Sarasota Sweeties, but they have clinched a berth in the postseason. While they couldn't capture the Division 1 crown, the club has cinched up a wild card berth late in the season. "You come close to not getting a chance in the postseason and it starts to worry you," said reliever Bill Mitchell. "This is a huge relief for our guys and we're going to celebrate it." The team will be looking for its 2nd CBD Triple A championship. |
