Bad Boy Brawlers Suspended 2 Games Tuesday, September 12th , 2051 Tempers were flaring yesterday at Ballpark of Rochester. Both the Rabbits and River Sharks were defending their turf. A few punches were thrown, but fortunately very few landed -- there was more wrestling than fighting. When the umpires sorted everything out, Thousand Oaks's Jerry Catalano and Rochester's Robert Rodriguez were ejected from the game. Today the league office suspended Catalano and Rodriguez for 2 games each. Catalano is batting .273 with 17 home runs and 61 RBIs this season. So far this year, Rodriguez has made 39 relief appearances with 10 saves, thrown 42 innings and struck out 25 with a 5-6 record. |
