League Suspends Rochester CF Cantrell Thursday, September 2nd , 2049 Rochester River Sharks center fielder Jarrett Cantrell was suspended 4 games by the league commissioner today, a day after arguing his ejection during a game against the Eugene Exploding Whales. "I think the 4 games are a little harsh," Cantrell said. He was ejected by plate umpire for arguing balls and strikes. After his ejection, Cantrell went into the dugout, then came back on the field, argued with the umpire and had to be restrained by coaches and teammates. The suspension was issued for "unbecoming conduct and returning to the field of play after being dismissed." This year, Cantrell is batting .294 with 6 home runs and 23 RBIs. In 56 games he has scored 26 times. |
