Hit Streak for Williams Reaches 25 Monday, August 30th , 2049 The Rochester River Sharks fell to the Prudenville Timberwolves in Ballpark of Rochester, even as 23-year-old center fielder Brian Williams upped his consecutive-game hitting streak to 25 games. Williams finished with 2 hits in 3 at-bats, but could not stop the River Sharks from dropping the 7-4 decision. "Yeah, I kept my streak going, but it would have been better to come away with a win," said Williams. Brian Williams walked in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. So far this season, Williams is hitting .296 with 6 home runs. |
