CAAA's Best Player Named Monday, August 30th , 2049 When it came to hitting the baseball, Ivan Amburtsev was in a class by himself in the CBD Triple A this past week. Nobody did it better. The outstanding second baseman for Portland tagged opposing pitchers for a .500 average and was voted the Player of the Week Award. Included in his stats were 10 hits in 20 at-bats, 2 homers, 3 runs scored and 9 RBIs. This season, Amburtsev has posted a batting average of .287 with 46 hits in 160 at-bats, 4 home runs and 27 RBIs. He has also scored 20 runs, walked 9 times and compiled a .343 OBP. |
