Hits Galore: Murphy Drills 5 Hits Saturday, August 28th , 2049 It was a magical day at the plate for Eugene Exploding Whales catcher Jimmy Murphy. The 28-year-old Murphy helped lift Eugene to a win, 7-5, over the Sarasota Sweeties at Whales Field. Murphy smacked 5 hits in 5 at-bats to spark his club. Jimmy Murphy hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
