League Rules Almond Out 2 Games Saturday, August 26th , 2051 A 2-game suspension has been handed out by the league office to Tom Almond of the Ho Chi Minh City Tigers. Almond was suspended for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct" during a confrontation with the plate umpire during a recent game at Saigon Ballpark against the Coney Dogs. He was ejected after arguing a called third strike and had to be restrained by his bench coach. This year, Almond is hitting .312 with 9 home runs and 33 RBIs in 73 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .369 with 22 walks and 36 runs scored. |
