Thousand Oaks-Phoenix Brawl, Stephen and Birley Suspended Friday, August 20th , 2049 Baseball officials have suspended two players for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct" in yesterday's Thousand Oaks-Phoenix contest at Spencer Grounds. The Rabbits Joey Stephen and the Falcons Calvin Birley will have to sit out 2 and 6 games respectively for their parts in the brawl. Thus far this year, Stephen has hit .309 with 15 home runs and 54 RBIs. To date Birley is 4-4 in 10 starts with a 5.23 ERA and has 62 strikeouts in 84.1 innings. |
