Ho Chi Minh City Stops Backman Hit Streak Sunday, September 11th , 2050 The Kinsale Fisherman lost to the Ho Chi Minh City Tigers, 4-3, at Saigon Ballpark, but perhaps the bigger news was the end of Andy Backman's 20-game hitting streak. The shortstop went 0-for-4 on the day. "We felt if we could slow down Backman, we would win the game," Tigers manager Pete Miller explained.
