Reno's Ragland Injured, Out of Lineup Wednesday, August 17th , 2050 A blow for Sam Ragland today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 14 months with a damaged elbow ligament. Ragland suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the Reno Copper Kings are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Ragland's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. Ragland's record so far this season is 2-and-0 with 1 save and a 4.18 ERA. He has given up 53 hits in 51.2 innings with 51 strikeouts. |
