Gibbons Stretches Hit String to 20 Friday, July 22nd , 2050 Kyle Gibbons's hitting streak is becoming the talk of Phoenix. The 27-year-old second baseman extended it once again, this time bringing it to 20 games with a 2-for-4 performance against the Memphis BBQ. The Palisades won the game, 6-4. "People are starting to bring it up to me when I'm around town," he said. "It's getting stressful." Kyle Gibbons singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 6th and struck out in the 7th. Gibbons is currently batting .315 with 9 home runs and 47 RBIs. |
