Estes Keeps Hit Streak Alive Thursday, July 21st , 2050 The hitting streak for Portland left fielder Jacob Estes now stands at 20 games, but the Pickles dropped today's contest 13-9 to the Reno Copper Kings. Estes went 2-for-5 in the game. "Things went well for me personally," he said. "I got 2 hits and the streak keeps going. But we didn't win the game." Jacob Estes grounded out in the 1st, grounded out in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off James Webber in the 6th, struck out in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 9th. Estes is hitting .340 so far this season with 46 RBIs and 62 runs scored. He has 120 hits including 11 home runs, 27 walks and .390 OBP. |
