Blair Belts Bunch of Base Hits Monday, August 24th , 2048 It was a sensational day at the plate for Xavier Blair as he led the charge to a nifty 21-7 win over the Tigers. The Thousand Oaks shortstop was pure misery for the Detroit pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 6 hits in 7 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. "Blair put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said James Winters, manager for the Tigers, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Xavier Blair singled in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
