Season Over for Steve Davis in Portland Thursday, August 12th , 2049 Steve Davis is doubtful to make the playoffs this year, according to sources within the Portland organization. Although the injury was initially thought to be not serious, tests have revealed the player will be out up to 4-5 months with a torn meniscus. The 23-year-old first baseman suffered the injury colliding with a player at a base in a recent game against the Reno Copper Kings. So far this season, Davis is hitting .294 with 7 home runs. |
