Bad Behavior Costs Dearman and Davies
Friday, July 7th , 2051
If there wasn't a history between Dave Dearman of Phoenix and Chris Davies of Thousand Oaks, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 5 and 3 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today.
"We're both really competitive," Dearman said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it."
At present, Dearman is batting .328 and has collected 1 home run, 15 RBIs, .425 OBP and scored 33 runs.
This year, Chris Davies has made 24 relief appearances, recorded 3 saves and compiled a 1-2 won-lost mark and a 3.33 ERA. In pitching 27 innings, he has totaled 25 strikeouts and 9 walks.
